Michelle Bahy, LMFT

Michelle Bahy is the Founder and Clinical Director of Piece of Mind Care Services. For more than 25 years, she has supported children, families, schools, and communities through compassionate, evidence-informed care. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with master's degrees in Clinical Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis, she brings a rare blend of clinical expertise, behavioral insight, and educational collaboration to each partnership.  Michelle is known for building strong, collaborative relationships with families and professionals to create coordinated plans that help students grow with confidence. Her holistic, personalized approach considers each child’s full range of needs, strengths, and goals, leading to meaningful progress and lasting outcomes.

Wendy Treuhaft Bencivengo, Ed.D.

Director of Educational Services

Wendy brings more than two decades of experience in education, instructional leadership, and student support to Piece of Mind Care Services. She holds a Doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership and master’s degrees in Teaching and English Language Learning.

Wendy provides inclusion services by collaborating with teachers to adapt grade-level curriculum, simplify complex information, and create accessible lessons using visual supports, manageable steps, and alternative response formats. As the English Learner Coordinator, she oversees student identification, ELPAC testing, progress monitoring, reclassification, program development, family communication, and ELAC meetings.

She also provides professional development in inclusion, instructional modifications, English Learner support, and effective classroom strategies. Wendy is committed to strengthening staff capacity, removing barriers to learning, and helping every student make meaningful academic progress.

Melissa Mayfield, M.P.E.

APE Department Chair

Melissa is a fully credentialed Adaptive Physical Education (A.P.E.) Specialist with decades of experience supporting neurodivergent students through movement, inclusion, and individualized instruction. As the Adaptive Physical Education Department Chair at Piece of Mind Care Services, she is dedicated to helping students build confidence, independence, and lifelong skills through meaningful participation in physical activity. With academic backgrounds in Communication, Psychology, and Physical Education, Melissa brings a multidisciplinary perspective to every student she serves. She is also trained in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), BASIC (Behavioral Analysis Successfully Initiating Change), and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), allowing her to develop creative, evidence-based strategies that meet students where they are and help them reach their fullest potential.
